With PrintCrate you select Contacts, Leads, or Accounts on a Salesforce list view, click Generate Mailing Labels, pick an Avery template and the fields to print, and PrintCrate opens a print-ready PDF sized to that sheet, with no CSV export or Word mail merge.
The steps
- Open a Contact, Lead, or Account list view in Salesforce and check the records you want labels for. A related list expanded to "View All", such as Contacts on an Account, works too.
- Click Generate Mailing Labels in the list-view buttons above the list.
- Pick an Avery template. The picker shows each layout's label size and how many fit on a sheet. Avery 5160 is the standard 30-per-sheet address label.
- Choose the fields that print on each label. Name and mailing address are pre-selected; add or remove any field you can already see on the record.
- Click Generate PDF. A new tab opens with a sheet laid out to the exact column, row, margin, and gap geometry of the template you picked.
Why not just export to CSV?
Salesforce has no built-in Avery-sheet PDF generator. The documented workaround, which Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) community discussions have pointed to for years, is to export to CSV, mail-merge in Word, and fix the alignment by hand. Every list change means repeating the whole detour. PrintCrate builds the sheet from live Salesforce data at the moment you click, so a typo fixed in Salesforce is already fixed on the labels.
What stays inside Salesforce
Record selection, field mapping, and PDF generation all run inside your org. The label-generation path makes no external API call. See the security page for details.
